Lessons That I Have Learned
Stacey Lunsford
Thank you Father, for the many lessons that I have and am still learning.  Thank you for Exodus 14:13-16, 21-22 And Moses said unto the people, Fear ye not, stand still, and see the salvation of the Lord, which he will shew to you today: for the Egyptians whom ye have seen to day, ye shall see them again no more forever. The Lord will fight for me, and I will hold my peace. And the Lord said unto Moses, Wherefore criest thou unto me? speak unto the children of Israel, that they go forward: But lift thou up thy rod, and stretch out thine hand over the sea, and divide it: and the children of Israel shall go on dry ground through the midst of the sea. And Moses stretched out his hand over the sea and the Lord caused the sea to go back by a strong east wind all that night, and made the sea dry land, and the waters were divided. and the children of Israel went into the midst of the sea upon dry ground: and the waters were a wall unto them on their right and on the left.
Joshua 3:5-17, And Joshua said unto the people, Sanctify yourselves: for tomorrow the Lord will do wonders among you.  And Joshua spake unto the priests, saying, Take up the ark of the covenant, and pass over before the people.  And the Lord said unto Joshua, This day will I magnify thee in the sight of all Israel, that they may know that, as I was with Moses, so I will be with thee.  And thou shall command the priests that bear the ark of the covenant, saying, When ye are come to the brink of the water of Jordan, ye shall stand still in the Jordan.  And as they that bare the ark were come unto Jordan, and the feet of the priests that bare the ark were dipped in the brim of the water, (For Jordan overfloweth all his banks all the time of harvest,) That the waters which came down from above stood and rose up upon an heap very far from the city Adam, that is beside Zaretan: and those that came down toward the sea of the plain, even the salt sea, failed, and were cut off: and the people passed over right against Jericho. And the priest that bare the ark of the covenant of the Lord stood firm on dry ground in the midst of Jordan, and all the Israelites passed over on dry ground, until all the people were passed clean over Jordan.
2 Kings 2:8-14 And Elijah took his mantle, and wrapped  it together, and smote the waters, and they were divided hither and thither, so that they  two went over on dry ground. And it came to pass, when they were gone over, that Elijah said unto Elisha, Ask what I shall do for thee, before I be taken away from thee. and Elisha said, I pray thee, let a double portion of thy spirit be upon me.
And it came to pass, as they still went on, and talked, that, behold, there appeared a chariot of fire, and horses of fired, and parted them both asunder, and Elijah went up by a whirlwind into heaven.

And Elisha saw it, and he cried, My father, my father, the chariot of Israel, and the horsemen thereof.  And he saw him no more: and he took hold of his own clothes, and rent them in two pieces.  He took the mantle of Elijah that fell from him, and smote the waters, and said, Where is the Lord God of Elijah? and when he also had smitten the waters, they parted hither and thither: and Elisha went over.

Elisha received a double portion of Elijah's anointing. As he crossed over to the other side, Elisha began his anointed ministry!  In order for something to be born, something has to die.  We have to say goodbye to people, places and things, its a time of separation!  And it is a time for changes to be made.  Transition is not easy for a lot of people because they are afraid to come out of their comfort zone!   From the outside looking in, lack of knowledge and training has prevented me from being all that God wanted me to be.  My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge.  Hosea 4:6 I used to be afraid but I have learned that God's perfect love casts out all fears. 1 John 4:18  The changes that I once feared and ran away from, God has and is using them to create in me a clean heart!  Today, I see them as opportunities to grow in God's Spirit and Truth!
John 3:1-3, There was a man of the Pharisees, named Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews: The same came to Jesus by night, and said unto him, Rabbi, we know that thou art a teacher come from God: for no man can do these miracles that thou doest, except God be with him.  Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God. Nicodemus saith unto him, How can a man be born when he is old?  Can he enter the second time into his mother's womb, and be born?  Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.  That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.
